Three Rivers Camp is an absolute gem of a tented camp. The drive to the camp is a mere 2 hours from Kafunta, heading south and passing through dense mopane forests and remote villages while bordering the national park. The secluded camp is tucked away under ageless sausage trees, exactly where both the Lusangazi River and the Kapamba River join their bigger sister, the Luangwa River. With the rivers’ white sandy beaches on one side and a game-rich plain on the other, the location is spectacular, in pure wilderness with no other tourist or vehicle around. The camp’s 5 upscale safari tents are extremely spacious and decorated with locally sourced material favoring a natural and earthy style; all come with a private terrace, and an en-suite bathroom featuring both an indoor and an outdoor shower. But the distinctive features of the camp are the private elevated decks attached to each tent, offering a chance to spend the night under the stars. The Long Stay rate applies with a minimum of 5 nights in any combination across our properties. Sunset House’s pricing is per unit up to 4 people while additional guests are charged a reduced rate. LEVIES, PARK FEES & LCCF Current fees for international guests are $60 for Kafunta River Lodge & Three Rivers Camp and $90 for Island Bush Camp. 50% for children up to 11 years. These fees must be added on a per person per night basis and are subject to change without prior notice. Any increase will be applied to the invoice or billed at the lodge. THE SUNSET HOUSE The Sunset House is a private accommodation composed of a main tent (canvas roof, solid walls & gauzed windows) with 2 large bedrooms each with its own bathroom, and a shared communal lounge with an outdoor dining area. A third en-suite bedroom is connected via the outside deck. Two bedrooms have king-size beds, one has twin beds. Each bedroom has an additional daybed, which can be converted into an extra bed. Altogether, the Sunset House can sleep up to 9 people and is offered on an exclusive-use basis. Services include private meals and private activities, a lounging deck, a swimming pool, and a fireplace. OPENING DATES Kafunta River Lodge: 01 April to 05 January The Sunset House: 01 April to 05 January Island Bush Camp: 25 May to 31 October Three Rivers Camp: 25 May to 31 October CHILD & TEEN POLICY • Kafunta River Lodge & Sunset House: minimum age is 6 years (younger children on request only). • Island Bush Camp & Three Rivers Camp: minimum age is 12 years due to park restrictions for walking safaris. Rooms at our remote camps are not designed for triple-share. Contact us with specific requests. • Discounts on nightly rates when sharing with two adults: 6 to 11 years: – 50%. 12 to 17 years: – 25%. Also valid at Sunset House on additional person rate. PRIVATE VEHICLE The charge for a private vehicle is $400 in peak season or $350 in low season, per day. The private vehicle must be booked at time of reservation and is only valid for game drives. An additional charge of $100 is required for private bush walks. Transfers are shared. Sunset House includes private activities. PACKAGES These Getaway packages are based on our long stay rates and can be customized as needed. MEET & GREET SERVICES IN LUSAKA We can outsource a Meet & Greet in Lusaka to assist with luggage handling and connection to the next flight. Extra charge will apply. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE Guestroom check-in time is 14h00 and check-out time is 11h00. We do our very best to extend these times to match guest arrival/departure times, it is unfortunately not always possible due to occupancy. Facilities & storage are provided. Island Bush Camp & Three Rivers Camp are not recommended for late flight arrivals or early flight departures. DOMESTIC FLIGHTS We are happy to book domestic scheduled flights or charters at applicable rates. Full payment of flights will be required before the tickets expire. Proflight flights are also bookable via codeshare with some international airlines (recommended). CONFIRMATION A 20% deposit is required to confirm the reservation. The balance is payable latest 45 days prior to travel (except for flights where full payment will be required before issuing tickets). Payment is by bank transfer only and must cover bank charges. CANCELLATION Cancellation up to 91 days prior to travel: deposit refunded less $100 banking & admin fee. Cancellation between 90 days and 46 days of travel: the 20% deposit is forfeited. Cancellation within the last 45 days of travel: 100% of the invoice will be due. Flights & third-party services conditions prevail. Attention: Group Bookings (8 pax/4 rooms or more).
