Itinerary

Day 1: Marine Wonders & Forest Mysteries

  • Morning Ocean Safari: Start your day early to catch the dolphins in their natural habitat. Dive into the crystal-clear waters to snorkel among vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life.

  • Prison Island & Tortoises: Set sail by traditional Dhow to Prison Island to visit the famous giant tortoises.

  • Authentic Spice Tour: Conclude your trip with a sensory journey through a historic spice farm. Sample over 10 varieties of exotic spices and fresh tropical fruits.

FAQ

Is this tour suitable for families with children?

Yes! Our tour is family-friendly. Infants and small children can ride in a pram/stroller during land portions of the tour. Please note that for the boat portions, children must be able to sit on an adult’s lap. If you have specific concerns about children’s safety on the boat, feel free to contact us.

What is the dress code for visiting Stone Town and local villages?

Zanzibar is a culturally rich, predominantly Muslim island. While swimwear is perfect for the resort or boat, we kindly ask that you dress modestly when exploring Stone Town or local villages. For women, this means covering shoulders and knees (a light sarong or “kanga” is a perfect, stylish accessory). For men, wearing a t-shirt or polo is preferred over going shirtless.

What currency should I bring for tips or local purchases?

While credit cards are widely accepted at hotels and larger establishments, we recommend carrying some Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) for small local markets, street food, and tipping your guides. US Dollars (printed after 2009) are also widely accepted, but you will often get a better exchange rate paying in local currency

Do I need to worry about malaria or health precautions?

Zanzibar is a tropical island. While the risk of malaria is low, it is always wise to bring your preferred insect/mosquito repellent, especially for the early morning and evening hours. We also recommend using high-SPF sunscreen and staying hydrated with bottled water.

Do you have insurance covered?

We have you covered! We will email you as items in your order ship, or if there are updates on the status of your order. Can’t find the email?Click here to check the status of your order.
